Sealed 1/9 Ambrotype of a Bearded Man famous and co-founder of National Association1850s ninth plate ambrotype. Original seals still hold an iron sheet to the back of the image. Light speckling visible under magnification.. those light areas almost look likegold paint on the image, but it might be just showing through from the back.. not100% sure. In half of a case.
