I came up with a couple of ideas initially and then I did lots of glaze and texture tests

I love the delicacy of the linear patterns created by the gingko leaves on the porcelain surface

These porcelain tiles have been inlaid with seed heads and flowers collected from the local countryside

The glaze colours have been inspired by staring across the glittering water at sunsets far out to sea. I was inspired by the beauty and variety of colours and hope to capture the same calm uplifting feeling in my porcelain lighting. The colours of the porcelain lamp change throughout the day, depending on the different light levels
