ويلاحظ أن التطريز برسوماته وأنواعه قد خضع لتغيرات أساسية مع مرور الزمن، إذ نجد في القرن التاسع عشر والرابع الأول من القرن العشرين أن الأنماط والرسومات التطريزية كانت هندسية الشكل يعتبر التطريز جزءاً هاماً من حياة المرأة في القرية الفلسطينية، وهو فن شعبي ترثه وتنقله إلى بناتها ولأجيال القادمة من بعدها، وتستعمله لتزيين ثوبها التقليدي والكماليات الأخرى للباسها ولترتيب بيتها
