It does resemble plants in the group of Neos going as carcharodon of one sort or another. A medium grower to 20 inches across or so, with wide leaves in a stacked up rosette shape. The leaves are fairly thick and leathery with stout marginal spines, light green blushing coppery pink and suffused with reddish speckles and a black leaf tips ending in a hook
