This item which dates to circa 17th early 18th century AD, still retains much original paint pigment. It would have been placed in a shrine area and prayers offered to the god. The prayers were often left in the small depositary slot in the rear of the statue.. A nice example of a rear item. A small shrinkage crack to the wood on the front panal as seen due to age.
