The sides of the cup are adorned with the figures of two farm workers wearing hats. One is carrying a scythe, whilst the other holds a rake. Both are stood upon sheaves of wheat which are applied to the lower part of the cup. Each side of the cup also features repousse foliate decoration. The cover finial is of a man shearing a sheep.
