Of shaped rectangular form with a raised gadrooned and leaf border. The inkstand is raised on four ornate bracket feet. There are two inkwells, a taperstick holder, wafer compartment, snuffer and two pen rest recesses. The ink bottle covers and taperstick holder all have gadrooned detail.
